One person has died after falling into a lake in the Kangla Phedi area of Narpabhumi Rural Municipality-4, Manang. According to Manang Chief District Officer Nawaraj Paudyal, 48-year-old Dil Bahadur Gurung of Kholasothar Rural Municipality-4, Bhujung, Lamjung, died on Saturday.

After receiving information about the incident, a two-member team under the command of Police Inspector Arjun Basnet was rescued by an Air Dynasty helicopter and Gurung was sent to Pokhara Manipal Teaching Hospital for treatment along with Police Assistant Constable Krishna Kami. The hospital has confirmed that Dil Bahadur died during treatment.
The doctors at the hospital confirmed his death at 10:56 am, said Police Inspector Arjun Basnet, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Manang.
The deceased's brother Kesh Bahadur Gurung told the police that Dil Bahadur fell ill at around 6 am on Saturday.
