Hariram Upre Police have seized 20 kg of firecracker-related materials from the Gorkha Bazaar area.
DSP Rajkumar Shrestha of the District Police Office, Gorkha, said that a police team deployed to maintain peace and security in the district targeting the Tihar and Chhath festivals seized 20 kg of firecrackers during inspections and searches at various places in the market area.
The police have also requested the general public not to sell and distribute firecrackers. The police have also warned that action will be taken as per the prevailing law if anyone is found transporting, buying and selling firecrackers.
