After the collapse of the wall of Lamjung prison, all those transferred to Kaski and Tanahun escaped on August 24 during the Gen-ji movement.

29 prisoners transferred from Lamjung are still absconding

Among the prisoners and detainees who were transferred after the collapse of the wall of Lamjung District Jail, 29 people who escaped during the Zen-ji movement are still absconding.

According to the District Police Office, 26 people who escaped from Kaski prison and 3 people who escaped from Tanahun prison are still without contact.

78 people were transferred to Kaski and 30 people were transferred to Tanahu after the wall of Lamjung prison collapsed on July 3. All the transferred people escaped on 24th August during the Gen-G movement.

Chief DSP Resham Bohra of District Police Office Lamjung said that 42 people were arrested from Lamjung and sent to the respective district jails. 

Some of the fugitives have been released from prison by court order. "Many prisoners and detainees have been arrested by the police from different districts and sent to jail," he said. Some are returning to prison themselves. He said that search is on for those who are absconding.
