The ``Meme Pokhari Cultural Trail'' has been launched to explore the touristic Meme Pokhari (4,456 m) in the lap of Himalchuli and Manaslu mountains.

Meme Pond in Dordi Rural Municipality-7 can be reached after a 1-day motor journey and 3-day walk from the capital Kathmandu. It takes a total of 10 days to travel this trail .

Dordi Rural Municipality is promoting the culture of the village and the Goth, 'Meme Pokhari  Kalch Ral  Trail' promotion has been started by village chairman Yuvraj Adhikari. According to him, the tourism promotion work has been carried forward by forming the Dordi Rural Tourism Promotion Committee. The committee called 'Meme Pool  Culch Ral has made a 10-day package for  Trail'.

On the first day, to reach Meme Lake at the head of Dordi, you have to travel about 180 km from Kathmandu to Dordi rural municipality center Nauthar Shera or Hillebensi area. After about an hour and a half walk, Khinchok is reached. Village Chairman Yuvraj Adhikari, Vice Chairman Vichcha Bahadur Ghale, Ward no. Ward President Naran Ghale of 8th, executive member Lalmaya Mizar, tourism promotion committee, mother group, youth group on Wednesday evening in Hillebensi. Welcomed by putting tika and flower garland. They have reached Bahrpokhari (3,080 m.) after walking for about 8 hours from Khinchok on Thursday morning.

Komro Danda (4,000 m.) is reached after about 8 hours of walking on the third day from Bahrpokhri. On the fourth day rest is taken for acclimatization in the area . On the fifth day, after about 7 hours of walking from Komrodanda, Meme Lake is reached. On the sixth day Meme pond is turned.

On the seventh day, after returning from Meme Lake, we reach Paulidanda (2585 m.) after a journey of about 6 hours. On the eighth day from Paulidanda, after a journey of about 5 hours, Khurukhark (3,110 m.) is reached. On the ninth day from Khurukhark, after a journey of about 9 hours, you will reach Khinchok, looking at the Tobrosyo waterfall. On the tenth day from Khinchok, it takes about 8 hours to reach Kathmandu. Tourists have also identified the footpath to reach Duwar-Hiletaksar Majhgaon on the ninth day .

Village Chairman Officer said 'Meme Pool  Kalch Ral  It is said that you can enjoy natural scenery on the trail, as well as sheep, buffaloes, and Laliguras in the season. Natural flowers, herbs, wild animals are seen in abundance in these areas . "Many footpaths go to the river and go to the mountains to see. Here the pond is reached by climbing the hill. Came back in a hurry . There is a lovely view from both sides,' he said. 

He told the experience of reaching the trekking routes of Japan, Malaysia, China, Thailand and seeing the most natural scenic view in his village. "I went abroad looking for a good place, now there is such a good place in my own village, after coming to the leadership here, I have come to know," he said.

According to Vichcha Bahadur Ghale, the vice president of the rural municipality, there are Ghale, Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Brahmin Chhetri and other castes living in the lap of Meme Pond. Local endangered culture can be seen in these villages. The starting point of this trail is a homestay in Khinchok. There are also homestays in Duwar and Majhgaon areas. Dharamshalas have been built in places where people live, including meme ponds," he said. According to him, there is a provision for accommodation in the places along the path. There is provision of drinking water. ``For now, it is better to go camping,'' he said, ``We are also engaged in infrastructure construction.''

Tourism Promotion Committee Chairman Kanyanal Ghale said that he wants to bring tourists to Meme Pond, where the fair is held on the full moon day. He said that the ``Meme Pokhari Cultural Trail'' has been developed with the aim of increasing the number of tourists in this area. "Through tourism, we are creating an environment of employment in the village," he said.

Insuhang Rai, the team leader of the padayatra, who is also the advisor of the Dordi Rural Tourism Promotion Committee, claimed that the 'Meme Pokhari Cultural Trail' is an incomparable gift for both local and foreign tourists. The nature, culture and intimacy of the villagers here make everyone enchanted. This footpath is more attractive for tourists, he said.
