The District Administration Office Manang has stopped traffic on the Bensi Sahar-Chame road for three days. This road is the only transport route connecting Himalayan district Manang.

District Administration Office Manang has decided to close the road from October 18th to 20th due to continuous rain and forecast of more rain.

Chief District Officer Navraj Poudel informed that the decision was made based on the forecast of the Department of Water and Meteorology at the meeting held on Saturday of the District Security Committee. According to him, as there is a possibility of medium to heavy rain in Gandaki province, traffic has been stopped on the Chame-Bensisahar road section from the point of view of safety.

'We have decided to stop all vehicle operations for three days as there are signs that the rains will intensify and the road may become dangerous,' Prazia Paudyal said, 'We request everyone not to travel unless it is essential and stay safe at home.' However, it has been decided to stop driving even during the day after the heavy rain started.
