During the protests on August 23 and 24, the District Administration Office Gorkha has requested that the prisoners and detainees who escaped from various prisons of the country are found hiding and living in hiding to report to the police.

Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral said that in view of the situation where inmates and detainees who have escaped from prison may commit criminal activities, they are asked to inform the police if they are found hiding. 

In the same way, the administration has requested through a public notice to inform the police if they received information about the looting of weapons and welfare materials during the protest. During the movement, various  Gorkha police have arrested 12 prisoners who escaped from the jail.
