Locals have brought to the attention of the administration that the businessmen operating the transport in the hilly areas of the district have charged more than the stipulated fare.

Bulingtar Gaidakot Contact Society and Dandazheri Gaidakot Development Society drew attention to the fact that the administration did not regulate even when the rent was charged higher than the government's fixed rates in the hilly areas of East Nawalparasi.

While submitting a memorandum to Chief District Officer Bhavishwar Pandey, Durga Bahadur Mashrangi Magar, President of Dandazheri Gaindakot Development Society, said that even though the road has been blackened for years, the locals are charging more than the rental rate of the unpaved road.

It has been demanded to take immediate action against the culprits for charging high fares while the Kaligand corridor has been constructed and to enforce the fares set by the government. Locals complain that they are charging 400 for 50 km from Gandakot to Bulingtar and 500 for 70 km.
