Dialysis capacity has been expanded at GP Koirala respiratory treatment center located in Shuklagandaki municipality-5 Belchautara in Tanahun. In the GP Koirala Lions hemodialysis unit, 30 people have been given dialysis from Wednesday, while 15 people are currently being served weekly.

Trilochan Lamsal, board member of the center informed that the dialysis capacity has been expanded according to the demand of kidney sufferers. Seven devices have been installed in the

treatment center. The dialysis equipment was provided by the Lions Club of Nepal as a grant. A dialysis center has been started here with the efforts of Lions Clubs active in Shuklagandaki. Dr. Ramkumar Shrestha, the executive director of the center, informed that kidney patients around Shuklagandaki are benefiting through the dialysis center. Earlier, as there was no dialysis service here, the patients here had to go to Damauli Hospital or elsewhere for dialysis.

In order to establish the best respiratory treatment center in South Asia, the government decided to establish a national level respiratory treatment center in the name of former Prime Minister Swa Girija Prasad Koirala. Accordingly, 740 ropani land in Belchautara of Shuklagandaki municipality has been provided in the name of treatment center.  People from Tanahun's Shuklagandaki municipality, Bhimad municipality, Myagde rural municipality, Rising rural municipality, and some rural municipalities of Syangja, Palpa and Nawalparasi districts also come to the

hospital to receive services.
