District Administration Office East Nawalparasi has now issued a curfew order in the 60 km area from Gaindakot to Dumkiwas from 2.30 pm.

Chief District Officer Bhabishwar Pandey said that when the police could not provide peace and security, they mobilized the army and issued the curfew order. He told that all the main markets of Mahendra Highway and one/one kilometer right side of it have been ordered not to walk.

The administration imposed a curfew after Genji protesters vandalized the houses of the mayors and set fire to the party office in the headquarters and various municipalities on Tuesday.
