Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the provision in the constitution has not been properly implemented. Dahal said this while inaugurating the Bhodi game tournament organized by the Tharu National Museum and Study Center at Kawasoti in East Nawalparasi and releasing the book published in the memory of Khadga Bahadur Thanet and Kulchandra Mahato.

"We have made provisions in the constitution for the participation of deprived communities in the state level by designating protected, autonomous and special areas," he said. He said that the attention of the state should be directed towards declaring a protected area to establish the rights of the Tharu community in Gandaki province.

He mentioned that East Nawalparasi district with special importance as it is the district where he taught and the place where the movement against panchayat was started, will also shake the state in the development of this area.

On the occasion of the end of the Tharu community, the traditional game Bhodi competition of the Tharu community is being held in Kawasoti-16 Danda of the district.
