In Syangja, a young man has been killed for driving his motorcycle with loud noise. The police have arrested 8 people for their involvement in the incident.
32-year-old Dhal Bahadur Thapa of Walling Municipality-5 Zarkot was beaten up at around 11 o'clock on the 7th of August. At that time, he was driving a motorcycle around the village. In the afternoon, there was a large crowd of young people as there was a volleyball game going on at the same place.
He stayed up late while meeting friends. After the general conversation in the sports competition, the youths who participated from Chapakot were called and there was a clash between the two groups. During that time, Thapa was looking for an additional reason saying that the sound was loud when he was driving the motorcycle. According to the police, a group of youths who were passing through Chapakot beat him up.
Thapa, who was seriously injured, was taken to Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara. But during the treatment, the doctor declared him dead on the morning of August 8.
The district police office took the incident seriously and formed a special operation team and started the investigation. District Police Chief Dadhiram Neupane informed that a special team of the police arrested 8 people involved in the incident from different places. According to him, the police mobilized a team in plain clothes on the night of the incident.
22-year-old Sijan Thapa of Harinas rural municipality-5, 24-year-old Anil Shahi Thakuri, 20-year-old Vivek Manandhar, 18-year-old Badal Vick, 23-year-old Guruprasad (Gore) Lamsal, 17-year-old Aryan Chhetri, 23-year-old Vishwas Wagle and ward no. 6 is 22-year-old Nishan Thapa.
SP Neupane said that the District Court Syangja has extended the deadline by 10 days by registering a case of duty killing against the arrested and it will be effective from August 8th.
