A youth died in Syangja when two groups clashed

A youth was killed in Syangja due to a clash between two groups. 32-year-old Dhal Bahadur Thapa of Waling Municipality-5 Bahundanda in Syangja died last night. There was a clash between locals and Chapakot residents in Waling Municipality-7 Kewerebhanjyang.

According to District Police Chief Dadhiram Neupane, the clash took place due to a dispute over the charge of driving a motorcycle while burning. The deceased is a local Thapa.

Another group reached there and had a fight by calling people from Chapakot. Thapa, who was seriously injured in the clash, was referred to Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara for further treatment after first aid.

According to the police, the doctor declared Thapa dead at 1.30 am during the treatment. Two people involved in the incident have been detained by the police. Those arrested are 22-year-old Sijan Thapa of Harinas Rural Municipality-5 and 24-year-old Anil Shahi of Chapakot Municipality-5.

They were arrested at around 9 o'clock this morning and kept in the custody of Ward Police Office Walling, the police said. The police said that they are looking for other people involved in the incident.
