It has been confirmed that a 52-year-old man from Madhyabindu died of Japanese encephalitis during treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.

In East Nawalparasi, one person has died of Japanese encephalitis and six people have been confirmed to have the disease.

According to Public Health Officer of Provincial Public Health Office, Nawalpur, Shailendra Kumar Singh, a 52-year-old man from Ward No. 1 in Madhyabindu Municipality died at Bharatpur CMC Hospital during treatment.

Similarly, 3 people in Kawasoti municipality, 2 people in Madhyabindu municipality and 1 person in Devchuli municipality have been confirmed to have the disease. After increasing the number of Japanese encephalitis patients in the district, the Provincial Public Health Office has requested everyone to be vigilant and raise public awareness about it. 

has also requested the media of the district to broadcast message-based content to spread awareness about the measures to prevent this disease.
