The district police office has informed that the young man was arrested on the basis of the complaint received by the relatives of the victim that he had raped the girl on the evening of 31st July.
Police have arrested 21-year-old Bimal Chepang of Gandaki Rural Municipality-6 on the charge of raping a nine-year-old girl.
District Police Office Gorkha DAC Indra Prasad Subedi said that the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint submitted by the relatives of the victim for raping the girl on the evening of 31st July. The police also informed that the investigation is being conducted against the accused with permission from the district court Gorkha.
