A teenager has gone missing while taking a bath in Dudhpokhari Kund (5,300m) on the border of Lamjung, Kaski and Manang. According to police and locals, 18-year-old Manoj Gurung of Khwalasothar Rural Municipality-4, Bhujung, Lamjung has been identified as missing.

He went on a Janaipurnima bathing pilgrimage with his friends and reached Dudhpokhri on Saturday morning. While taking a bath, his friends said that he was swimming at around 8 o'clock in the morning and reached some distance from the edge of the pool and then disappeared. 9 of his friends along with him went on the Dudhpokhri bathing pilgrimage, so they stayed at Thurju on Friday night. According to Gamimaya Gurung, a local who is also the vice-chairman of Kholasothar Rural Municipality, he entered from the side of the pond while taking a bath and his friends said that he disappeared after swimming some distance.

His friends went to some distance to rescue him, but when they could not rescue him, they came back and informed about the incident by phone from the place where the telephone network was picked up . They said that they were a little later than the others and could not rescue their friend who had drowned because the others had returned. 

Vice President Gurung said that the villagers went to the incident site early on Sunday and reached Thurju as much as possible in the evening and reached the incident site on Monday morning.

DSP Resham Bohra, head of the district police office, said that after getting information about the incident, a team of 9 people including 4 Nepal Police and Armed Police Assistant Inspector led by police inspector Abhishek Pandey and 4 others went to Dudhpokhri on Sunday. According to him, the incident site is located at a place that takes 2 days from the human settlement and the rescue team of the police will reach the incident site as soon as possible.
