Traffic has come to a standstill on the southern road section of East Nawalparasi under the East-West Highway. On Tuesday morning, due to the rain, vehicles got stuck on the uphill of the Vishwakarma temple.
According to the police, it has been raining since morning and traffic has stopped due to the slippery road. Even though gravel was placed on the highway on the side of the under-construction bridge near the Vishwakarma temple in Downe on Monday, the traffic has not been smooth.
The drivers said that the highway was blocked because they could not get the vehicles stuck due to the mud. The police informed that after the rain stops, they will try to open the traffic by placing gravel. When there is normal rain in Daunne, traffic is stopped.
