The road has been blocked in Daunne of East Nawalparasi due to landslides due to rain. The traffic was blocked due to a landslide near the Vishwakarma Mandir in Vinayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 under the East-West Highway.

Earlier in the morning, due to mud, slips and potholes, the traffic was closed in both directions after the landslide.  DSP Madhu Nepal of District Police Office Nawalpur said. 

Passengers stuck in jams due to mud and slippery roads have become more worried after landslides. The administration said that the landslide removal will be done after the rain stops. There is a long traffic jam in Bardghat on the west side and Dumkibas on the east side due to road blockage.
