The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, has said that hemp (hemp) cultivation should be promoted commercially by making good use of barren land.

Addressing the state-level program of International Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs Federation Bagmati held in Pokhara, he emphasized on promoting hemp cultivation as a multi-purpose crop. "The production of hemp is more in Baglung, but now it can be systematically cultivated throughout the province," he said. According to him, it is possible to produce medicine from cannabis and export it abroad. 'Since there is a possibility of cannabis abuse, we should proceed with strict legal provisions. Now the law-making process has stopped, but now the opportunity should be utilized, said Chief Minister Pandey.

He informed that the state government is working towards branding domestic alcohol as well.

He said that an investment conference will be held in Gandaki province soon and called on Nepali entrepreneurs abroad to invest in ride sharing and other sectors.

conference has formed the Gandaki Province Committee of the Federation of International Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs. A committee has been formed with 19 members under the chairmanship of Jitu Nepal, director of Varpeople Resort on the lakeside of Pokhara. Taking over the leadership, President Gurung pledged to do memorable work even as it was his first tenure.

Similarly, Hari Bhujel is the senior vice president of the committee, Shanti Shrestha is the vice president, Chiranjeevi Gautam is the secretary, Rajkumar Sunar is the joint secretary, Koshraj Poudel is the treasurer and Rudra Regmi is the joint treasurer. 

Chairman of Tan Gandaki Province Krishna Prasad Acharya has been given the responsibility of spokesperson. Acharya was earlier the convenor.
