The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, has said that hemp (hemp) cultivation should be promoted commercially by making good use of barren land.

Addressing the state-level program of International Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs Federation Bagmati held in Pokhara, he emphasized on promoting hemp cultivation as a multi-purpose crop. "The production of hemp is more in Baglung, but now it can be systematically cultivated throughout the province," he said. According to him, it is possible to produce medicine from cannabis and export it abroad. 'Since there is a possibility of cannabis abuse, we should proceed with strict legal provisions. He informed that the state government is working towards branding domestic alcohol as well.

He said that an investment conference will be held in Gandaki province soon and called on Nepali entrepreneurs abroad to invest in ride sharing and other sectors.

President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal stressed on the need to develop attractive destinations at the provincial level to promote tourism.
