Similarly, the daily wage of a porter who carries 40 kilos and delivers 4 boxes has been increased from 796 rupees by 9 rupees to 805 rupees. The salary of agricultural workers has been increased from 731 to 740 rupees. Chowkidar, Pean, Pale, Messenger and Dhalpa have been increased from Rs 705 to Rs 710 per day .
According to Chief District Officer Pokharel, the rate has been fixed for 8 hours per day. He said that it can be increased by 25 percent due to the increase in wages for night work. According to him, the wage rate was determined by the chief district officer along with the District Coordinating Committee, Office of the Controller of Finance and Accounts, Nepal Construction Professionals Association, Lamjung Industry and Trade Association, officials of the Infrastructure Office.
The prices of food and consumer goods and services, health, education, transportation services are increasing every year and the wages of the workers are increasing a little. They have been demanding to reduce the price of daily consumer goods or increase the wages of workers.
