The Bensihar-Chame road has been blocked due to a landslide in Kholsa between Hawadanda and Jagatko in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4 of Lamjung. According to the police and locals, the road was completely blocked due to a landslide with large stones on Monday night.

Khushiram Gurung, a resident of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4, Jagat informed that the movement of people along with vehicles was stopped when the road was blocked. According to him, vehicles and people could not move on both sides due to the landslide.

He said that the 33 KV electricity pole, 11 KV pole and Internet poles also fell and the wires were snapped due to the landslide. He said that due to the damage to the poles and wires, electricity and internet were also disrupted in the area and in the upper areas.

According to Chief DSP Resham Bohra of District Police Office Lamjung, the work of removing the landslide is going on. He said it is estimated that it will take about 4 hours to remove the landslide and open the road. He requested the passengers to travel cautiously and use the road only with necessary information.
