Under the Muglin-Pokhara road section of the Prithviraj highway, the highway was blocked due to a dry landslide at Bandipur rural municipality-4 Bimalnagar of Tanahun on Monday evening at around 8:30 pm.
The Dumre-Ambukhareni road section was blocked due to a dry landslide from above the road at Chunpahara in Bimalnagar and the work of removing the landslide has been carried forward, according to District Administration Office Tanahun.
District Police Office Tanahun has informed that the highway has been blocked due to large stones falling in the middle of the road. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa informed that efforts are being made to open the highway after removing the landslide.
According to the district administration office Tanahun, due to a sudden dry landslide on the road section, the road on both sides was completely blocked, and under the command of deputy inspector of police Vijaynath Yadav from police station Dumre, a team of 13 people including traffic has been deployed to clear the road.
Similarly, the Tanahun police have asked to use an alternative route to Nayapul via Changli in Gorkha.
