Kaski's Ghattekhola-Dhampus-Khanigaon road track will be tarred after 21 years of its opening.

Prakash Bahadur KC, Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport of Gandaki Province, laid the foundation stone of the road to be built with the support of Nepal Government and Asian Development Bank on Friday. 

Under the Ministry of Rural Road Network Improvement Project, the road construction is being implemented and the goal is to be completed within two years. For the construction of the road, an agreement was signed between MS EKK-MCSPL-BBR JV and the project on February 21, 2018 for 30 million 18 million rupees . The length of this road in Machhapuchhre rural municipality-7 is 13.3 km. Out of this, the first 7 kilometers will be paved with asphalt and the rest will be paved with DBST technology, said Lakshmi Prasad Bhandari, the head of the project. The track of this road was opened in 061.

Speaking after the foundation stone laying, Minister KC warned the builders not to compromise on the quality of construction. "I request the bodies under the ministry, construction professionals and the local level to complete the work in a quality manner on time, to continue the work, to prepare an environment to complete the work on time by regular monitoring of the construction site," he said  Said . Minister KC said that after the road is paved, it will make a special contribution in the social, economic, tourism, health and educational sectors within Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality.
