Every year in July, Indian tourists arrive at Shivalay Ghat on the banks of the Narayani River at Trivenidham in East Nawalparasi.

In this month, they spend the night at the monastery in Trivenidham and the next morning they come here with the belief that they will get merit by taking water from the Narayani river and offering it to the nearby Shivalaya temple. Due to Indian tourists, dozens of monasteries in Triveni are crowded every day. On Tuesday night, a large number of Indian devotees could be seen resting under the open sky in the temple premises and on the banks of the river.

Targeting the devotees of Trivenidham, shops selling Pahela Bastra, mala, water-carrying jerkin, Shivling, and colors are open all night long.
