In order to control the risk of floods and landslides caused by continuous heavy rains, traffic on Siddharth Highway has been suspended.

District administration office Kaski has banned driving on the highway from 4 pm on Sunday.

There is a police check post at Chorepatan in Kaski and vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Syangja from there. Kaski Assistant Chief District Officer Shiv Lamsal said that there is no stop for vehicles coming to Kaski via Syangja. There is no risk in the Kaski section under the highway. The notification has been issued in view of the possible risk towards Syangja," he said.

The administration has requested to coordinate with the nearest security agencies if driving is necessary.
