In the rural areas of the district, non-essential vehicle operation has been banned during the monsoon period.

The coordination committee's meeting on Sunday has decided to completely close the night traffic even on the highway in Gorkha region in the face of continuous rain.

Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral said that vehicles running on 14 routes in rural areas have also been assigned a place to run throughout the monsoon period. "We have told you not to drive in the area where the road is difficult," he said, "We have asked you to take safety precautions in view of the situation that may occur during the monsoon, road/highway may be blocked due to floods, landslides, vehicles may come from above the road, landslides may not be seen and major accidents may occur."

If there is a landslide on the road, he said that the designated agencies have been told to make arrangements with equipment to open it immediately. It has also been requested to provide information about the flood and landslide to the nearest security agencies as soon as possible.
