In Gorkha, the district rate has been determined for the current financial year 2082/83. The meeting of the district rate determination committee held on Tuesday decided the transportation of construction materials, the rent of machines and equipment, and the wages of workers.

According to the new rates, the wages of unskilled workers, jammies, camp workers, coolies and length workers have increased. In the current year, those workers will get a wage of 880 rupees per person per day. Last two financial years was 875 rupees per day.

The wages of forest watchers, nursery watchers, surveys, polling, cabling, helpers, chainmen and watchmen have been fixed at 680. The wage rates of semi-skilled and skilled workers have been maintained as of last year. 990 per day for semi-skilled workers and 1 thousand 240 rupees for skilled workers.

The transportation fare of the materials transported from Khachhad is 2.8 rupees per kg per bag, the helicopter transportation fare from the headquarter in Chekampar, Chumchet, Bihi, Samagaon, Lho, Prok in the villages of Sabik bordering with China has been fixed at 170 rupees. From other remote head quarters of Sirdibas, Uhia, Kashigaon, Kerouja  Shipping charges have been fixed at 150 per kg.
