In order to minimize the damage caused by the active monsoon, the tourist village of Kaski has been restricted in traffic.

District Security Committee, Kaski's meeting on Tuesday has decided to implement safety restrictions during the rainy season, to reduce possible damage to passengers and vehicles due to floods and landslides, and to enforce traffic restrictions from Wednesday.

The vehicles going to Sikles should leave the departure point Kahunkhola by 5 pm, said Assistant Chief District Officer Shiv Lamsal. Even the vehicles returning to Kahunkhola will not be allowed to leave Sikles before 5 am. This decision will apply to both public and private vehicles for 7 days from Wednesday. It takes 2 and a half hours from Pokhara to reach Sikles, which is 37 km away from Pokhara.

Earlier, the administration had restricted the travel from Virethanti to Ghandruk, Virethanti to Ulleri, Lumle to Landruk and Kahunkhola to Tangting from 25 to 15 days. In these villages too, the rule has been implemented to leave the departure point before 5 pm and not to leave before 5 am.

In all 5 villages including Siklas, according to the decision, the inspection of vehicle movement is done by the police units in the respective places.
