A scooter driver was killed and one person was injured when a scooter collided with a parked mini truck in Beas Municipality-1 Amreni under Prithviraj highway on Monday afternoon.
According to District Police Office Tanahun, the accident occurred when the scooter numbered 22 P 3989 coming from Dumre in Tanahun to Damauli collided with the mini truck numbered Ba 1 K 8714 which was stopped on the left side of the road section.
Sagar Neupane, aged 25/30, a resident of Byas Municipality-12 Chhirkne, died in an accident, according to Ashok Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Tanahun. Krishnamaya Pant, a 60-year-old resident of the same place, who was riding a scooter, was injured.
Injured Neupane was sent to Ratnahari Hospital where doctors declared him dead, while injured Pant was sent to Gandaki Medical Hospital, Pokhara for further treatment.
