Uitup Lama of Chumnubri Rural Municipality-6 Chumchet, who was injured by a stone falling from Bhir, was rescued by helicopter and taken to Kathmandu for treatment.
On Tuesday, Lama was injured when he was hit by a stone that fell from Bhir in Renjam while going to Chhekampar from Chumchet.
On the initiative and coordination of Rajendra Bajgai, a member of the House of Representatives, the llama was rescued by Altitude Air helicopter on Wednesday. He was given initial treatment at the Chumchet health post as his left leg was seriously injured by a stone falling from the hill.
He was taken to a trauma center in Kathmandu by helicopter for further treatment. Due to the lack of road network in Chumchet in North Gorkha, there is a compulsion to charter a helicopter by paying expensive fees for emergency treatment.
