Landslide in Udipur on Benisahar-Dumre road, traffic partially blocked

Bensisahar-Dumre road has been partially closed due to landslide in Andheri river near Benisahar Municipality-1, Udipur of Lamjung.

Since Monday night, the road has been dry under the road. DSP Resham Bohra, Chief of District Police Office Lamjung, said that due to the landslide, only small vehicles are operating in one direction. He said that the traffic of big buses, microbuses, trucks and tractors carrying passengers has been stopped. Due to the landslide, the vehicles going to the destination have been stopped .

District Traffic Police Office Chief Police Assistant Inspector Bhim Bahadur Ranabhat said that passengers were made to travel in buses and microbuses and that the journey was risky.

The Dumre-Bensisahar-Chame road project is now constructing a wall from the lower area to repair the Andherikhola road . Citizens are complaining that the work done for the safety of the road has caused the road to be washed away as they have been working in the low-lying areas during the rainy season.

DSP Bohra said that initiatives are being taken for the management of alternative roads. The police has requested not to use the vehicle unless it is essential.
