Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality-6, near Jorne, a Himalayan black bear cub got stuck in the Nigalo Ghari and was rescued and released into its natural habitat.

The staff assigned from Sub Division Forest Office Rainas-Doodhpokhari under Division Forest Office Lamjung rescued the female bear cub and fed it with buffalo milk and left it in its natural habitat .

According to Forest Officer Santosh Khanal, Information Officer of the Division Forest Office, the Himalayan black bear cub was rescued after receiving information that it was in danger.

A Himalayan black bear cub, about two months old, was rescued on Monday and taken to its natural habitat after a day's walk and released, Tikaram Chapagain, Chief Forest Officer, Sub Division Forest Office, Rainas-Doodhpokhari said .

According to him, the locals saw the bear cub stuck in Nigalo near the human settlement of Jorne while going to graze the goats. He said that after getting information that Nigalo was stuck in the river, a team of employees reached and rescued him.

'The diet of the Himalayan black bear is the tusa of the black bear . The bear may have come to the lower area looking for the same Tusa . "Mau may have left the child after coming near the settlement," he said. He said that although the child can survive on its own, it was fed with buffalo milk and taken to its natural habitat.

According to him, the Himalayan black bear is a wild animal that usually lives at an altitude of 2,500 to 4,200 meters above sea level. However, this bear has been found in an area of ​​about 2,000 meters in Jorne. He said that the bear may have come to the lower area in search of food and ran away after hearing the sound of people.
