The police have arrested seven accused who were involved in various criminal incidents and were absconding from different places and produced them in the court.
According to Madhu Nepal, information officer of the district police, the accused were arrested on charges ranging from extortion to vehicular homicide.
Nepal informed that the arrested person was submitted to the District Court Kawasoti and jailed to pay the sentence.
57-year-old Bhagwat Bhattarai of Kawasoti-3, the absconding defendant of the coercion case, Sudan Pathak of Devchuli, the absconding defendant of the written insult case, Krishna Bahadur Nepali, 36-year-old resident of Devchuli-5, the absconding defendant of the Chaupaya theft case, have been arrested.
Bhupal Thapa Magar of Devchuli, the absconding defendant in the vehicular manslaughter case, Vishal Vick, 22, a resident of Devchuli-2, the absconding defendant in the drug case, Hira Bahadur Gurung, 25, of Vinayi Triveni, the absconding defendant in the vehicular manslaughter case, and Vikram Gurung, the absconding defendant in the theft case, Vikram Gurung of Vinayi Triveni have been arrested. For the last few months, the police has been carrying out the search for those absconding after being convicted in various cases and submitting them to the court for further punishment.
