Traffic has been operating from Thursday through the newly constructed bridge on Binayi river at Dumkiwas under East Nawalparasi.

According to Ishwar Bahadur Rizal, Chief Engineer of Butwal-Narayangadh Road Project East Section, the traffic has been operated from the concrete bridge of Binayi since some time ago.

He told that only 40 tons of goods can be transported through this bridge at a time. After the operation of traffic through the concrete bridge of Binayi, goods vehicles have also crossed this bridge. From Thursday, the compulsion to travel through diversions has been removed.

After the iron bridge in Binayi was broken on 26th of January last, the cargo vehicles that were going back and forth from here were being diverted by diversion. From Thursday, directly from Binayi Bridge, all vehicles have reached Bardghat Dumkiwas to and fro.

Even if the vehicle crosses this bridge, the traffic jams are the same as when it rains normally. Bardghat falls on the 14 km road section between Dumkiwas. Out of it, the west (3 km road towards Bardghat) has been tarred.
