The driver died in a tractor accident near Madhya Nepal Municipality-4, Tilar Chowk in Lamjung.
According to the police, the tractor number 7637 went out of control at the place on the Vorletar-Damauli road connecting Lamjung's Vorletar and Tanahun's Damauli and the accident took place around 9 am on Wednesday.
19-year-old Ayushman Gurung, a resident of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-7 of Baglung and currently living in Rupa Rural Municipality-3, Polyang of Kaski, died when the tractor, which was going from Duipley in Lamjung to Bhorletar, went out of control and fell approximately 10 meters.
After receiving the information that the tractor had an accident and the driver was seriously injured due to being crushed by the tractor, the police were deployed and the locals along with the police rescued him and sent him to Damauli Hospital in Tanahu for treatment. Police Inspector Rajkishore Sah Teli informed that he died during the treatment.
According to the police, the tractor involved in the accident was empty. The police said that the accident involving the tractor, which was the only driver, is being investigated.
