The Mothers' Group Conference organized by the Judicial Committee of Jaimini Municipality concluded to end discrimination in the society, maintain harmony and conduct campaign against drug addiction.

The conference held in Jaimini on Saturday also decided to stop the abuse of drugs at the community level, control gambling and alcoholism, child marriage, polygamy, dowry system and caste discrimination. The conference has also issued an 11-point manifesto to prevent the increase in addiction among the young generation and for the control of social evils.

The manifesto also mentions the commitment to ensuring women's participation at all levels for development and justice, expanding access and maintaining equal wages for equal work from home to city. 

Nagar deputy chief Harihar Sharma, on behalf of the mothers' groups, the declaration was issued under the signatures of Kalabati Rana, president of Jaimini 7's Zaidi Mothers' Group, and Gopal Prasad Sharma, a senior conciliator. It is also mentioned in the manifesto that everyone is committed to take collective action for the rights and justice of disabled, women, Dalits and marginalized communities.  In the

conference, High Court Baglung Chief Justice Natibabu Lamichhane, Chief District Officer Kumansingh Gurung, Chief Administrative Officer Shri Krishna Paudel, senior advocate and reconciliation activist Kumar Acharya and advocate and women's rights activist Geeta Srish said that they will try to make the mother group the first responsible citizen of the society by facilitating. "It is the mother group that knows the root of the small quarrels and disputes in the society, if they are made mediators, justice can be done quickly and peace can be established in the society," he said, "Federalism has ended the system of going to court in all matters." 

Acharya also says that the concept of judicial committee at the local level and reconciliation center at the community level has been introduced to reduce the financial burden and the pressure of cases in the courts. Reconciliation in the village will not cost money, the rate of big disputes and fights will decrease, and society can be made crime-free. 

"In the past, the men used to settle disputes, now only the mothers' group can resolve disputes in the village," he said, "Men have work in the village, if women are empowered, women will be able to change the society."  The

conference also concluded that reconciliation will be effective for justice and dispute resolution. Presidents and representatives of 172 mothers' groups also participated in the conference.
