Maoist MPs from Gandaki state have torn the annual development program booklet brought by the government for the next fiscal year in the rostrum of the parliament, expressing dissatisfaction with the budget distribution.
Member of Parliament Resham Bahadur Jugjali, who is also the former Minister of Physical Education, tore the booklet while participating in the ministerial discussion of the Provincial Assembly meeting on Monday.
He said, 'Since Magdi has been treated unfairly for two years, I would like to represent everyone and with the permission of the Speaker, I would like to tear this book.' Saying this, he tore the book and left the rostrum.
According to Jugjali, in his home district of Myagdi, only 3 million rupees worth of new schemes have come up. He said that he would visit the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Materials at his personal expense to explain the geographical situation of Myagdi.
He said, 'Once I took the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Materials from Gurja in Myagdi to Darkhola via Narchang at my personal expense. There is no cost to the government. I will show you the geography of Myagdi. Will there be anything for 3 crores?' He said that since
is the opposition party, there is no hope that they will be addressed in the budget. But he also satirized that the budget allocated to Myagdi by the state government has forced the finance minister, chief minister and UML party leader workers to wear masks (hide their faces).
