Traffic has been started in Dumkiwas a little while ago after constructing a diversion in the Binayi River, which was washed away by the flood on Tuesday night. According to District Police Chief Yadav Dhakal, the one-way traffic started from 6:30 on Wednesday after constructing a diversion at Binayi Khol of Dumkiwas.
Only vehicles coming from Butwal towards Narayangadh are allowed to ply there.
He said that due to traffic jams from Daunne to Bhutaha in West Nawalparasi, priority was given to vehicles coming from the west first. The police said that after half of the vehicles in that direction have crossed, the vehicles going towards West Butwal will be diverted through Dumkiwas.
It is still difficult to get the vehicles stuck in the ditch. There is no traffic until the cargo vehicles stuck in the mud of the valley are removed. Police chief Dhakal said that the police have deployed excavators and dozers to push the vehicles and make them cross. Because there is a lot of mud in Downe, there is a daily problem of getting stuck and getting stuck in long traffic jams.
There is a 45 km long traffic jam here because the vehicles stuck in the road cannot be removed. The police say that the traffic jam will gradually decrease.
