A young man from Lamjung has been arrested in Manang on charges of raping a 14-year-old girl.
Dul Bahadur Gurung, 31, of Tunikhark Ghar, Mersyangdi Rural Municipality 3, Lamjung, was arrested, DSP Hari Paudel, Chief of District Police Office Manang informed.
He said that the young man working at Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower under construction was arrested around 1 am on Monday and taken to the District Police Office in Chame.
DSP Poudel said that the district court extended the deadline of 7 days to the youth who was arrested from Nason rural municipality 9, Dankyu, lower area of Manang, and further investigation was started against Gurung.
