Gobind Bohora, a resident of Sundarbazar Municipality-6, Baretar of Lamjung, has caught fire in his 2-storey zinc roofed house. According to the police, a fire broke out in a house at Lamjung Campus (Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science) Chowk around 11:55 midnight on Friday.
According to the police, the fire was brought under control with the help of local police station Sundarbazar, local police station Bhoteodar, soldiers of Chandi Prasad Gana, armed police dependent Gulm Ranikuwa, locals and the fire brigade from Bensi Sahar.
According to DSP Resham Bohra, Chief of the District Police Office, the fire was completely brought under control by demolishing the house with an excavator loader machine used in construction to prevent the fire from spreading to the slums and due to the risk of spreading.
The police said that the fire was brought under control at around 1:30 p.m. The house was completely destroyed by the fire and the details of the damage are being collected. Police say that the fire was caused by an electrical short, but the details will be revealed after the investigation.
