Due to extreme heat, Madhyabindu Municipality has issued an order to close schools indefinitely.

According to Mayor Bhimalal Adhikari, schools within the municipality have been closed from Thursday until the rainy season. 'The holiday will last indefinitely,' he said, 'schools will be opened as soon as it rains and cools down. They can give leave as long as summer lasts.'

'Slope classrooms and schools with adequate facilities including fans can also teach,' he said. He informed that the schools which could not provide the minimum facilities were ordered to have holidays until the rainy season. He informed that by issuing a notification on Wednesday, school holidays have been given from Thursday for the rest of the summer.

The temperature of East Nawalparasi has reached 38 degrees Celsius at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
