One person died in a bus collision in Mygde Rural Municipality-1 Gunadi under Prithvi Highway on Wednesday afternoon. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa informed that 24-year-old Saroj Paudel of Kaski Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-4 is the deceased.
Police said that the accident occurred when a bus numbered G1K 9399 coming from Tharpu towards Damauli and a motorcycle numbered G17P 5146 coming from the opposite direction collided with each other. Deputy Superintendent of Police Thapa said that Saroj, who was injured in the accident, was sent to the state hospital in Damauli for treatment and died during the treatment. According to the district police office, Tarapati Sharma, 34 years old of Shuklagandaki Municipality-10, the driver of the said bus, is under arrest and further investigation is underway.
