For the first time, 'French music' has been played at the base camp of Annapurna first mountain. On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of climbing Annapurna first Himal (8091 meters) on the occasion of 'Annapurna Hirak Mahotsav' held on Tuesday, a team of French artists gave a musical performance at the base camp at a height of 4,050 meters above sea level.
The Annapurna music group led by Mathis Herzog, the son of French mountaineer Maurice Herzog, the first climber of the Annapurna mountain, gave such a presentation. The domestic tourists who arrived at the base camp were delighted by the musical performance given by French artists on the music of Nepalese instruments such as harmonium, flute, and guitar. Tej Gurung, a member of the Annapurna Diamond Festival organizing committee, said that this program has inspired them to organize musical performances at the base camp in the coming days.
1950, on June 3 French mountaineer Maurice Herzog and his friend Louis Lachenal were the first in the world to step on the summit of Annapurna I (8,091 meters), a mountain higher than 8,000 meters. It has been 75 years since the French national team climbed Annapurna on Tuesday. Lewis died five years after the climb at the age of 34. Maurice passed away in 2012 at the age of 93.
