The negotiation committee formed by the state government has once again invited the National Federation of Nepal Transport Businessmen, Gandaki, to participate in the negotiations. A committee headed by Secretary Kamal Kumar Adhikari, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management has called on the businessmen to participate in the talks through a press conference on Sunday.

The coordinator officer said that the ride-sharing regulations will not be repealed, but if some amendments are required, they can be discussed in a meeting. He asked the federation to postpone the strike program and hold talks.

The Gandaki state government published the Ride Sharing (Regulation and Management) Regulations 2082 in the state gazette on May 1. In opposition to that, the businessmen submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and Transport Minister on May 8. The Ministry of Transport formed a negotiation committee on May 13 to discuss the memorandum.

Under the leadership of Secretary of the Ministry Kamal Kumar Adhikari, a 5-member negotiation committee was formed with Deputy Secretary, Engineer and Officer involved. The members of the committee are Prem Subedi, Head of Administration and Transport Management Division, Legal Officer Jit Bahadur Basyal, Mechanical Engineer Kamala Dwara and Branch Officer Anil Subedi.

On behalf of the federation, the ministry sent a letter to 5 people to participate in the talks on May 14. Businessmen did not go to it. The businessmen have been saying that since the agitation has intensified at the central level, there is no point in holding talks in the provinces. Businessmen say that only if the regulation is repealed, they will sit in negotiations.
