19 people were injured when a bus coming from Lamjung to the state capital Pokhara met with an accident. The bus No. G 1 B 4101 left from Madhya Nepal Municipality-7 Rambazar met with an accident at Rupa Rural Municipality-1 Charpe of Kaski at 11 am on Friday.

Kaski district traffic police office said that 23 people were on board the bus and 19 people were injured. Among the injured, 82-year-old Menukadevi Ghimire of Rambazar, Madhya Nepal-7 is in critical condition.

His right arm is broken and both legs are injured.  The condition of the other injured is normal. The victim's waist and back were injured.

Some of the injured have returned home after being treated at the Western Regional Hospital. It is the initial estimate of the police that the accident happened when the brake pipe of the bus broke on the way uphill and the brakes did not apply.
