After 6 years of construction, a concrete bridge has been built on the Taranga River, which is located on the border of Bulintar Rural Municipality and Gaandakot Municipality in East Nawalparasi.
The 25 meter long bridge collapsed a week ago. Chitwan's Lohni & Brothers, Lohni & Sons JV has sloped the bridge last week after 6 years of work. Due to the delay in the construction of the bridge of the Kaligandaki Corridor, which connects Palpa's Rampur and Pipaldanda through Gandakot Bulingtar, Dedhagaon, there has been a problem in the neighborhood during the rainy season. Under the Kaligandaki corridor, the remaining 4 bridges have been constructed. According to Arun Khatri, the engineer of the
corridor, the Taranga river bridge can be used for vehicles from Asar at a cost of more than 50 million. 700 meters of road left and right of the bridge are yet to be constructed. Khatri informed that the construction of the approach road near the bridge will be completed next year. Taranga Khola Bridge is 27 km northwest of Narayangadh. Before reaching Bulingtar of Kaligandaki Corridor via Narayangadh Gaandakot, there is this Taranga Khola bridge.
