One potato of 500 grams has grown in Jaljala Rural Municipality. After the information officer of the rural municipality, Bheshnath Acharya, put it on social media, the potato got a buzz.

It's a white potato. It looks like a pear. It is also delicious to eat. It is good to make chips', he said.

Farmer Ramu Acharya of Dharapani Sahutol located in Jaljala Rural Municipality-7 Upper Dhairing has grown half a kg of potatoes. He is happy that potatoes have grown well this year. He brought potato seeds from Paudhar Swant of Annapurna rural municipality-5 in Myagdi.

"For the first time, I brought Lahuro variety of potatoes and planted one seedling in the ground", he said, "Many potatoes have grown weighing 3/4 hundred grams. This year, more potatoes will be produced than expected.'

He has been growing seasonal vegetables such as cauliflower, tomato, and cabbage along with potatoes. "I used to sell the agricultural products produced in the village in my own car", said Acharya.

Information Officer of Jaljala Rural Municipality and also a resident of Dhairing, Bheshnath Acharya has said that for the first time, Lahure potato seeds were planted in 100 plants of land.

Looking at the potatoes growing in the fields of a couple of farmers, he says that the yield is good. He says, 'I estimate that 1000 quintals of potatoes are produced.'
