Five local levels of Baglung have been declared municipalities with complete immunization coverage and sustainability. Baglung, Galkot, Dhorpatan and Jaimini Municipalities of the district and Tarakhola Rural Municipality have been declared as Municipalities with complete vaccination assurance and sustainability.
Ramprasad Khanal, Head of Health Branch, said that 663 children in the age group of 15 months are receiving regular vaccinations and 449 children in the age group of 16 to 24 months have been vaccinated in Baglung municipality. He said that vaccination facilities have been provided in all 14 wards of the municipality.
After vaccinating 427 children aged 15 months and 327 children aged 16 to 23 months in Galkot Municipality, Health Branch Chief Sushil Poudel informed that the city has been declared fully vaccinated. Stating that there are 14 health institutions in the municipality, he said that arrangements have been made to give vaccinations from all institutions.
Health coordinator Bhumishwar Sharma said that after 684 children aged 15 months and 454 children aged 16 to 23 months were vaccinated in Dhorpatan municipality, the city was declared a fully vaccinated municipality.
He said that the Khojapadtal program has been started since January 1st, last Chaitra and last Baisakh, and now the municipality has been declared fully vaccinated.
Health Coordinator Govinda Prasad Sharma informed that after giving vaccination to 313 children aged 15 months and 226 children aged 16 to 23 months from birth in Jaimini municipality, the city has been declared a fully vaccinated municipality. Udit Thapa, head of the municipality's health department, said that 123 people in the age group of 15 months are getting regular vaccinations in Tarakhola rural municipality of
district and 70 people in the age group of 16 to 23 months have been vaccinated. He said that there are six health institutions in Palika and arrangements have been made to provide vaccination services from all of them.
