4-year-old Suvina Surkheti of Gorkha Municipality-4 Finam died after being hit by a bus. His mother, 22-year-old Vinita Surkheti, was seriously injured.
Saroj Karki, Police Inspector of District Police Office, Gorkha, said that Vinita and Suvina, who were traveling in bus No. C 2 B 929 from Gorkha to Arughat on Wednesday, were crushed by the back wheel of the same bus while getting off.
Suvina died on the spot and Vinita who was seriously injured was referred to B&B Hospital Kathmandu after treatment at Gorkha Provincial Hospital. Vinita is injured in the lower part of the waist.
25-year-old Vinod Lamichhane of Vimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-4, a bus driver, has been detained by the police. The police also said that the incident is being investigated.
