12 houses in 3 wards of Bullingtar Rural Municipality are in darkness when the wind knocked down electricity poles. According to the information given by the Village Chairman Dipendra Sunari on the telephone, 1200 households in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd wards were without electricity due to the windstorm on May 31st and May 1st.
When the power supply is cut off, the internet is also cut off. The work to fix the fallen poles has started only from Monday.
According to Kamal Vakawal, Chairman of Ward No. 2, the repair was delayed because the staff of the Electricity Authority office, Kawasoti, which is about 41 kilometers away from the place where the pole fell, had to come and estimate and get the work done.
