Balkrishna Acharya, who came from Ayodhya, India, was shocked to see the Shaligram Museum in Baglung. He said that he was surprised to see that he had collected 150,000 Shaligrams at one place for worshiping one or two Shaligrams.

Shaligram, found only in the Kaligandaki river, is being lost due to exploitation, but it has been stored here . Many tourists come to see Shaligram decorated inside a 150 meter long tunnel. Indian tourists also come here regularly. The management committee has a record of more than 20,000 Indians coming to the museum, which receives one and a half million tourists throughout the year.

Rishi Prapannacharya, the curator of the museum, said that most of the tourists who came to Muktinath came by car. The museum was established 6 years ago  Yes . He says that Indian tourists want to visit Baglung Kalika and Shaligram. According to him, the tourists who came in groups have been arranged for food and accommodation here. Indian tourists who come for a 7 to 10 day package make the museum and Baglung Kalika temple their destination for a day.

Madhav Haridas, who came from Mayapur, India, said that he felt peace while visiting Shaligram Museum. He said that even after traveling around the world, he could not visit one lakh Shaligrams in one place and this opportunity came here. More Indians come from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and other places in India.

The Nepali Army helped in the construction of the tunnel for this museum. In addition to those found in the Kaligandaki river, the museum also has samples of mussels and other rocks found in different seas. The river civilization of Kaligand has also been built inside the tunnel. After creating the 'topography' from Damodarkund to Triveni, it has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

'We have not called tourists, many devotees have come,' he said. Many tourists also come to see the artistic temple.

According to the demand of the devotees, the museum recently  A 5-day Shaligram festival was also conducted. On that occasion, 108 Ramayana recitals, Shaligram worship and Bhajan Kirtan campaigns were conducted. 

Those coming from India have also prioritized the Shaligram Museum during their trip to Janakpur, Lumbini, Pashupati and Muktinath. Varungopal Shrestha of Bhaktapur said that he was able to see the Shaligram collection for the first time and said that he would send his neighbors to visit as well. 

Tourists are also coming to places like Panchakot, Samsarnat and Karikot under construction here. Baglung municipality has included its own tourism slogan, logo and important destination in the QR code. On the occasion of Tourism Day, slogans and logos have been announced, while the main destinations have been kept in QR . Some tourists have started coming even after receiving information through QR .
